If there is one thing that grinds my gears (Family Guy reference, keep up), it’s student motherfuckers getting all new age about their gap years.
It seems to me that these “spiritual enlightenment for dummies” courses are actually epic Class A benders for which you have to travel to a country where it’s cheap and easy enough to get away with the debauchery, which is a fair enough way to spend a year before you start uni or whatever, I suppose.
What pisses me off about it is that people seem to feel the need to disguise the trip as “getting to know myself”, helping people in poverty or “giving something back”. It’s an awesomely international, drug fuelled student fuck exchange, and that’s quite perfect enough as it is, thank you.
